Well, folks, my car is back from the transmission shop, and hopefully this is the last expensive trouble I’ll have with it. However, I still don’t trust it (even though I love it!), and am still looking to replace it ASAP. I’m doing a lot of research on a lot of different cars. Well, small crossovers, but yeah. I hate having to do that. I did months’ worth of research on the car I bought, and have made really sound decisions in the past. I am still reeling from this turning out the way it did. But I’m trying not to beat myself up over it so hard, since the sad reality of it all is almost any time you buy used, it’s a roll of the dice. Honestly, the only thing keeping me from rushing out to try trade it in is that I don’t want to rush into anything right now, and I also don’t want to end up making payments on something (which I already mentioned last week is my only option at this point) and possibly still having to pay for repairs. So I’ll simmer and research a bit more.
The theme for Monday’s Music Moves Me this week is…there is no theme! I’ve gone from watching The Dirt every day, sometimes more than once a day, to watching it every 2-3 days or so, so my selections this week are two of my favorites from Motley Crue. The first is from one of their most-loved albums and the second is from what is probably one of their least-liked albums. The first selection was a single with an actual video. The second was not only not released as a single, but I’ve never seen it performed live at any of the (quite a few) Crue shows I’ve attended. In other words? Pretty much polar opposites, at least as far as popularity goes. Here are my apologies in advance if either or both of the videos don’t play. YouTube doesn’t let me know if something is shareable, so I usually don’t know until someone lets me know!
“Too Young To Fall In Love”
“Raise Your Hands To Rock” (featuring some MAJOR duckfacing before the MySpace & selfie eras! Exciting!)
