On this, the most thankful of Thursdays, many of us here in the States celebrate Thanksgiving.

This one is bittersweet for me, as it’s the first without my Dad. We didn’t actually spend many Thanksgivings together, but still, the first holiday without a parent is hard.

Also, my oldest son got an invite to spend the holiday with his best friend’s family out of state, so he left for that adventure Tuesday. My youngest son and his gf didn’t care to do a big dinner, so I got off easy on that! Considering I leave for work here soon, it’s been a pretty non-holiday holiday so far. I am excited to get started on Christmas plans, though!

And above all, I am beyond thankful for all I have. I hope you and yours are having a blessed holiday!

Holidays can be weird, but I’m so glad that there is so little pressure surrounding Thanksgiving!

I’m sorry you recently lost your Dad. It’s really hard to lose a parent. 🙁
I hope the time you had with your one son and his girlfriend was nice and that your work day went by quickly!

Thank you for your sweet words! We did have a good time, just not really doing anything here at home (they live here, so we always get to visit). Work was quite eventful, but did pass by quickly! I hope you had a great day as well!
