Twilight. Huntsville, AL. November 2017.

I have what I like to call an annual Thanksgiving sinus infection. Every year, around and through Thanksgiving, without fail, there is a nasty sinus infection to deal with. I thought this year I had escaped the curse, because I had no symptoms leading up to this catastrophe (except unexplained exhaustion). But no. Last night, out of nowhere, my allergies exploded with an intensity I couldn’t deal with on my own.

I was forced to take allergy meds, and I hate to do that close to bedtime. Anytime I take allergy meds close to bedtime means I wake up stopped up beyond belief, which is exactly what happened. AND my throat is on fire, which does not bode well for me speaking to people today. And me speaking to people today does not bode well for me being able to medicate and heal from this crud before my busiest work week of the year.

Joy.

At least I do have the weekend off to try to get better.

Songs for the day and photographs will return when I can think straight.

Oh no, I’m so sorry you’re sick. Have you ever tried a Neti pot. It’s a little awkward, but I love mine! Feel better soon.

Thanks! I have tried a Neti pot, but can’t get those to work for me. I do have the sinus rinse squirt bottle that tends to work a bit better for me. I’m just trying desperately right now to stop it from traveling to my chest. That also happens every year despite my best efforts, but I have to try!

We really are twins, I can’t do the Neti Pot, either.

I do take two prescription allergy meds every day, though. Like, of my life, so, not the most fun, but helpful. Kinda sorta.

    {{Hugs.}} Feel better!

I should probably get myself some prescription allergy meds. The ones I took that started this whole fiasco were just the cheapest store brand “Benadryl” I could find.

I still have a bit of the sinus infection, but yikes! Woke up Sunday to extreme tummy trouble that didn’t go away entirely till mid-morning Monday.
