NaBloPoMo Day 12
I actually made it twelve days without being late (although I’ve been totally late and even inactive at linking up at the various places hosting link-ups) or skipping a day. I know the quality of posts hasn’t been that great, but have you seen my site lately? Because I’ve been working on customizing my theme and getting stuff added.
For now, I’m keeping the gorgeous (to me) header which gives me all the feels: I picture a quaint lake town about late summer/early autumn…possibly even later autumn, long after everyone’s gone back to school and packed away summer. A thunderstorm looms offshore, making for a beautiful, muted golden light from a break in the clouds, and the red lights at the far end of the beach really pop in front of the dark cliffs. I can just picture myself sitting on that dock, drinking coffee and reading until the rain rolled in. It is my idea of bliss!
- Added social media icons. I already had some, but the pack that came with my theme didn’t have all the ones I wanted and needed, so I fixed that today.
- Got rid of my “About” page (too long) and opted for a sidebar blurb instead.
- Created a site credit page, where I have listed everything I’m using to run this site. I haven’t gotten around to listing my plugins yet because of time issues, but they’ll be there soon enough. Also….if you run a WordPress site, which plugins can you not live without?
- Enabled Facebook comments. Okay, that’s NOT new, but I felt I’d put it out there in the event that anyone reads through Facebook, but doesn’t want to comment the traditional way.
And how is your Sunday?
