Music Monday – New Music On Monday

First off, I should have known better than to declare myself cured of any maladies in my last Music Monday post; it seems as soon as I published that, the temps dropped and not only was the nice weather over, but so were my clear sinuses and lungs. Ick. I am SO beyond tired of this lingering cold weather. Serenity now. Spring now. Please.

Anyway, Thirty Seconds To Mars released their fifth studio album, titled America, on April the 6th. I held off on buying the cd or digital copy because Spank and I bought concert tickets for their upcoming Birmingham show, and a free CD was included with the purchase. We just had to wait on them to be sent, and we got them last week.

“Walk On Water”, the first single, has gotten a lot of attention, what with being used to promote ESPN’s 2017 College Football programming and such. So in case you haven’t heard the second single, “Dangerous Night”, yet, here it is:

I figured new music was perfect for a freebie week over at Dolly‘s “Monday’s Music Moves Me” bloghop. Be sure to head over there to see what music all the other participants chose for their freebie! And keep a lookout for a review of America here on the blog…oh, someday soonish.

  • Kim,

I’m sorry you’re not feeling good again. This is the craziest weather. We had some beautiful weather Friday and Saturday. Yesterday was rainy and our overnight temp dipped to 39ยบ with today’s expected high being only a few degrees warmer, then tonight it’s gonna be chilly dropping to freezing. Come on Mother Nature get your act together, pleeease! Anyhow, thanks for introducing Thirty Seconds To Mars newest single. Thanks for the dance.

Today’s post is a hodgepodge of posts with 4M, Sparks, A2Z, & BoTB. Have a tunetastic week and happy A2Zing, my friend!

    • Oh yeah, this weather is absolutely CRAY CRAY. I understand once spring starts, you have some cold snaps, but come on! Three days very warm, then abruptly really cold for three days with no in-between? My sinuses say “Nope.”

      • Kim,

I’ve been fortunate to not have any major issues, except somedays I’ll get a ginormous headache. I think this might be due to my eustachian tubes which do not work properly. I always have negative pressure in my ears. In fact, there’s a possibility I’ll need surgery this summer, either for tubes or another procedure that uses a balloon to keep the eustachian tubes open. Hopefully, you’ll get over this mess soon and life will be happy again for you. Take care, dear friend and thanks for visiting. You’re invited to check out my daily A2Z iPad Art Sketch of a big-eyed owl whenever you get a chance! TTFN!!

        • Oh, I am so sorry to hear that (about the surgery)! As for me, I’m over it, then back at it pretty much daily. Once the weather settles down for good, my health will adjust and improve. Can’t wait to see your latest sketch!

  • Awwww Girl, you got to get out of this funk!!! Now just remember orange juice, sleep, plenty of fluids like chicken soup! Screw those flu & pneumonia shots you’re wasting your money because those shots give you the disease. I got my first one ever last summer & it put me in the hospital with pneumonia & it was the same day my granddaughter was graduating from high-school. I was devastated. Dam doctors! They should warn you this might happen or maybe I should’ve known. So, I’m passing the word to you my friend. Rest & fluids and don’t leave the house until you’re better…. oh, and spray the house every day with Lysol. KILL THOSE DARN GERMS….. DO IT NOW!!!

    • I know…this crud has got to end! Though it isn’t the flu at all. I am so sorry to hear about your horrible experience with the flu shot! I did get mine, and tend to every other year or so. Though I heard that this year it was pretty much useless against most strains, anyway. I will be cleaning my house with a thieves oil disinfectant, spraying everything with purification oil, and I’m probably going to cleanse the place and smudge it with sage to boot! I don’t like chemicals, but I’ll do pretty much anything else to get the place clean, cleansed, and safe for us, LOL!

  • Nice music choices. I hope you feel better soon.

  • Thanks for the new music!

  • I hate it when I think I’m feeling better, when in reality, it’s just taking a day off.

Thanks for sharing this new to me song!
