A new year is upon us – and I have already made my first thrifted vintage purchase:
I had never heard of Guelph Coffee before. But doesn’t it sound delicious?
So January is just flying right on by, and I don’t know whether to be thankful or frightened. On one hand, I certainly don’t want to wish my life away. On the other hand, the faster time flies through winter, the faster spring can get here. I am just hoping and praying this year will be better than the last. I am really not doing one of those “new year, new me” type posts this year, though, because I:
- a. Have never made good on the goals detailed in any of my past “new year, new me” posts
- b. After the shit year 2016 was for many of us, I decided to make my goals much more reasonable and attainable this year.
In 2017 I aspire to pay better attention to those talking to me, get more sleep at the appropriate times, meditate more and put good, positive vibes out into the universe, and read more. That’s it. No eating better. No exercising/gym. No efforts to clean house more. That’s not to say there won’t be any of those things (I hope I do ALL of those things, in fact!). And I hope to soon return to Music Monday, Tuesday Coffee Chat, Battle of the Bands, as well as several new hops. But the focus is on the the things listed in the first sentence.
And on that note? I’m adding a new category to the blog (BOOKS! YAY! It will be another sub-blog once I think of a cute name for it!) tomorrow, so be sure to come back and see what I’ve got posted. I am really excited for it, if you can’t tell!
